A ballot paper for the Nazi party and the appointment of Adolf Hitler as sole chancellor in the forced elections of 1936

Ballot paper for the Nazi party in the German parliamentary elections on March 29, 1936 - these elections were intended to confirm Hitler's appointment as sole ruler, to confirm Hitler's invasion of the Rhine region earlier this year, as well as to confirm the list of the only party to take over the German Reichstag - the Nazi party.

These were the first elections in Germany that took place after the application of the Nuremberg Laws in 1935, which completely denied citizenship to Jews and ethnic minorities, and they took the form of a 'referendum' for the sole ruler. In the previous elections of 1934, Jews, Poles, and ethnic minorities were allowed to vote without government intervention. In the March 7 elections, Jews and gypsies lost their right to vote. So over 5 million Jewish votes taken into account in the previous election have not been counted at all now. In this election the Nazis even lowered the voting age, to ensure the enthusiastic support of younger Germans for the Nazi regime. Of course under these dictatorial conditions the party received 99% of the vote. Voters were forced to approve or disapprove the pre-determined list of candidates as there were no other lists.

The title of the note: Reichstag fur Freiheit und Frieden - 'German National Social Workers' Party'. Candidates: Adolf Hitler - fuhrer, as well as the leaders of the Nazi party during all the years of her reign, those responsible for the Nazi extermination program: Herman Goering, Joseph Goebbels, Rudolf Hess, Wilhelm Freak, Dr. Robert Leigh, and Grohe. In the blank circle that appears in the ballot paper on the right, the 'voter' is required to mark x in order to 'not confirm', and leave it blank in order to 'confirm'.

Size: 21x15 cm. A few stains. Good condition.
