Lot of 2 information leaflets: 'Remember the Founder of the Zionist Organization, The Zionist Shekel', with Herzl's portrait on the cover, published by the Zionist Executive, Jerusalem 1944, and a Henrietta Szold (1860-1945) leaflet opening to an A4 sheet, with a facsimile of her handwriting - Lot of 2 information leaflets: (1) the booklet 'Remember the Founder of the Zionist Organization', 'The Zionist Shekel', published by the Zionist Executive, Jerusalem, 1944, with Herzl's portrait on the cover. The booklet explains the Zionist Shekel and the right to vote for the Zionist Congress: every shekel holder may vote from the age of 18 and stand for election from the age of 24. (2) a Henrietta Szold leaflet opening to an A4 sheet: on the front her portrait photograph, her dates, 21 December 1860 to 13 February 1945 (with the Hebrew dates), and her printed signature. Inside: words she spoke at a gathering in New York on her 75th birthday; from a letter to the Youth Aliyah workers in Berlin, 3 December 1934; from a letter to a pupil in a youth group, 31 January 1940; and words she spoke when receiving a Youth Aliyah group. On the back 'To the Children of Eretz Israel', her speech on Radio Jerusalem on her eightieth birthday, as a facsimile of her handwriting with her signature, framed, 21 December 1940. The last leaf of the booklet (pages 7-8) is detached. The leaflet with age damage, defects, holes in the centre and at the sides, folds and stains. Condition: exactly as photographed.
