Lot of 5 Judaica postcards: ”Exile” (Golus) by Samuel Hirszenberg in two editions, New York and Russia (”Жертвы погрома”, Victims of the Pogrom), and three Jewish portraits published by B.K.W.I. Vienna, including a boy by L. Krestin (1909) - Lot of 5 Judaica postcards, early 20th century: 1. ”S. Hirshenberg. Exile. גלות”: Samuel Hirszenberg's painting ”Exile” (Golus), a column of Jewish exiles, old men, women and children, marching through the snow, led by an old man wrapped in a coat. Published by Hebrew Publishing Co. New York, Series 13 No. 83, Printed in Germany. Hebrew handwriting on the back. Unused. 2. ”ЖЕРТВЫ ПОГРОМА.” (Victims of the Pogrom), with the English caption ”The Victoms of a Massacre in Russia” (original misspelling): the same Hirszenberg painting printed in a bluish tone, Russian edition. Back ”Открытое письмо / Carte postale”. Unused. 3. Portrait of a Jewish boy in profile, with skullcap and sidelocks, signed ”L. Krestin 09” (1909). Published by B.K.W.I. (Vienna), Series 776 No. 3. Unused. 4. An old Jew with a white beard, in skullcap and tallit, leaning over an open book, with a row of burning candles behind him. Signed by the artist in the corner. Published by B.K.W.I., No. 198/13. Unused. 5. Portrait of a Jewish boy in a skullcap, looking straight ahead. Published by B.K.W.I., Series 776 No. 2, from the same series as card 3. Unused. Condition: signs of use and light wear to corners and edges, creases and wear on card 2, a small stain on the front of card 1, pencil notes.
