Lot of 5 real photo postcards from Palestine (E.I.), the Ottoman period and the British Mandate period, on the subjects of types, landscapes, sites and street scenes. Three of the cards carry handwritten captions: THE WALLS, JERUSALEM; MOUNT OF OLIVES FROM MOSQUE OF OMAR; and BETHLEHEM. The other two cards are uncaptioned. The reverses are printed POST CARD, CARTE POSTALE, COMMUNICATION-CORRESPONDANCE, ADDRESS-ADRESSE with a stamp box. The cards were not sent through the post, without stamps and without postmarks, some carrying light pencil notes. Toned paper, age spots and light wear at the corners. Fair to good condition, exactly as photographed. Units in lot: 5
