Booklet entitled Bulim Rishonim, First Stamps, by L. Kaufman, published by the Postal Agency. The wrapper is of brown paper with a thin rule frame, the name of the author, the title and a printed star. The booklet describes the first Doar Ivri issue of the State of Israel, lists its nine face values and their colours, and is illustrated with the 1000 and 500 stamps together with an explanation of the ancient coins from which the designs were taken. The Doar Ivri set was issued on 16 May 1948, two days after the declaration of the state. Age marks and light staining to the wrapper. Good condition.
