Lot of 19 New Year (Shana Tova) greeting cards, Eretz Israel and the State of Israel, from the 1930s to the 1960s, various publishers. Units in lot: 19. Varied conditions. - The lot includes: cards on IDF and defence subjects, among them an artillery piece with its crew, soldiers in the field, an armoured half-track with troops, the Artillery Corps emblem in gilt relief and a naval parade; cards on settlement and agriculture, among them a drawing of tanks and a tractor with the inscription ”and they shall beat their swords into ploughshares”; embossed cards with doves and flowers; and private photographic cards, including a family card made from mounted photographs. Many of the cards carry handwritten greetings and dedications on the reverse, one of them from Eretz Israel on the eve of Rosh Hashanah in the 1930s.
