In the twenty-five years of the state, the population has grown fivefold, dozens of cities and hundreds of villages have been built on land that was partly desolate or desert. A crop grew from agriculture. Modern industry has conquered export markets. For the past 25 years, state security has been a major problem, and many have been victims of the lives and property that Israel suffered in its wars. However, despite its victories on the battlefield, the desire for peace with the Arab states remained paramount in its policy.
