Lot containing 2 items from early Zionist congresses, 1903-1909
1) Unused postcard of the Sixth Congress in Basel, 1903, postcard designed by the Austrian Zionist painter Emil Rensenhofer, bearing the phrase "The Sows in the Teardrop of Barna Yektsuru." Situation: Two holes perforated by a binder at the top of the postcard. : 9.5 / 14 cm. * This Congress was the first to propose the "Uganda Plan", which was rejected by the subsequent Congress.
2) A delegate card to the Ninth Zionist Congress in Hamburg (1909) named for Dr. Leib Bakhana of Kharkov.
* delegate cards from the first congresses are considered rare because some of the participants did not survive the Holocaust of European Jewry.
