Advertising poster for "Elisheva Ball" - a literary event with the participation of the poet Elisheva, which was held in the hall of the Reali School in Haifa.

She is of Christian descent, her Russian father and English mother, was born in Russia to a Protestant Christian family.
As a teenager, she studied Yiddish and Hebrew, and later began translating and writing songs in Hebrew. In 1925, Elisheva immigrated to Eretz Israel with her husband, publisher and journalist Shimon Bikhovsky.
Elisheva has won an important place in modern Hebrew poetry, she is almost the only poet in our literature.

Her lyrical poems were printed in Hebrew magazines and newspapers published in Israel, Europe and America, and special literary and musical balls were dedicated to her poetry and held in Moscow, her hometown, Lithuanian Kaunas and Israel. At these banquets, the writers of Elisheva and her wife were praised by the writers:
Dr. Joseph Klausner, Reuven Brainin, Yaakov Fichman, DA Friedman, N. Greenblatt and more.
