WWI WWII Women Timber Corp Cap Badge RPPC Photo Pin Lot
WWI WWII Women’s Timber Corps Cap Badge RPPC Photo Pin Lot. The Women's Timber Corps (WTC) was a British civilian organisation created during WWI and continued in WWII to work in forestry, replacing men who had left to join the armed forces. Their goal was to help maintain critical supplies of timber for the mines and war effort. Women who joined the WTC were commonly known as Lumber Jills or Timber Jills. The items pictured came together as a group and will be auctioned together. One pin is marked sterling. Another pin has initials on the reverse. The third pin has a makers mark of G. Alford. Good overall condition for their ages.
