Vintage Earrings 18k Gold Diamonds Enamel Hearts Ear Clips w Appraisal (6014 - Vintage Modernist Earrings Ear Clips. 18k yellow gold, enamel and diamonds. French hallmarks, but exact origin unknown. Made circa 1960-80's. Measurements: approximately 1 5/8 inches (4cm) long. Weigh 30 grams. .60ct diamonds VS in clarity and G-H in color. A gorgeous pair of double heart earrings. Surmounts and drops are puffy hearts connected by an arc of gold and diamonds. The hearts are enamelled in trellises of multicolored enamel - bright royal blue, red, green and orange-yellow. Colors glow and shine. Clip-ons make the earrings perfect for the lady who does not have pierced ears. Marks: there are 3 marks on the backs: 750 for 18k gold; Owl - French hallmark for 18k gold of unknown origin (usually European) and a rectangular mark. Gold was acid tested to ensure purity. Condition: Negligible wear commensurate with age.
