Total length is 22mm (7/8inch).  Description : Strong design with ridged bars ending in terminals of concentric circles, decreasing in size towards the end. Cables are 'wrapped' in a twisted rope of yellow gold.  In 1858 hte first cable was laid under the Atlantic, connecting America and Europe for the first time. Tiffany bought the surplus cables and made jewelry from it. These cufflinks are highly reminiscent of the famous, imagination of these cable jewels, now represented in the Smithsonian museum.  Elegant and functional. The perfect gift (or self-gift) for the man who has taste and class.
