Sefer HaZohar, authored by the holy Tanna Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai (Rashbi). Part I – Bereishis.
Following the title page appears, at the head of the approbations, is the approbation of Harav Avraham Yehoshua Heshel, the Ohev Yisrael of Apta, who writes: “The renowned Harav Moshe Shapira, Av Beis Din of the holy community of Slavita, wishes to print the books of the Zohar; therefore I say, may his strength be firm in Torah.”
Printed in Slavita by Harav Moshe Shapira, son of Harav Pinchas of Koritz. 1815.
[3], 256 [7] leaves; the original contains an additional page that is missing in this copy. 20 cm. Part of the title page is printed in red ink.
Worn leather binding, detached and lacking the back cover. There are a number of small holes, with damage to the text, on pg 74. Stains and very few tears. Condition: Good- Very Good.
Books printed in Slavita and Zhitomir by the descendants of Harav Pinchas of Koritz are said to possess special sanctity. The printing tools and type were immersed in a mikveh before use, and merely owning such sacred volumes is considered a segulah for protection of one's home and for success.

מעבר השער מופיע בראש ההסכמות, הסכמתו של הרה"ק רבי אברהם יהושע העשיל 'האוהב ישראל' מאפטא, הכותב בין הדברים: "הן הרב המפורסם מוהר"ר משה שפירא אב"ד דק"ק סלאוויטא רוצה להדפיס ספרי הזהר, לזאת אמינא יישר חיליה לאורייתא".
נדפס בסלאוויטא בדפוסו של הרה"ק רבי משה שפירא בן הרה"ק רבי פנחס מקאריץ. תקע"ה 1815.
[3] רנו [7] דף; במקור יש דף אחד נוסף שחסר בעותק שלפנינו. 20 ס"מ. חלק מאותיות השער בדיו אדום.
כריכת עור בלויה ומנותקת, ללא חלק אחורי. בעמוד עד מספר חורים קטנים עם פגיעות בטקסט. כתמים ומעט מאוד קרעים. מצב טוב - טוב מאוד.
לספרי זיטאמיר וסלאוויטא שנדפסו ע"י צאצאי הרה"ק רבי פנחס מקוריץ, הייתה קדושה מיוחדת, כלי הדפוס והאותיות הוטבלו במקווה לפני המלאכה, ואף החזקת ספרים קדושים אלו ידועה כסגולה לשמירת הבית ולהצלחה.
