Description:

Official farewell document from the commander of the Belgian Carabiniers Regiment “Prince Baudouin”.
Dated June 10, 1940 — just days after Belgium’s surrender to Germany.
Bilingual text (French and Flemish) in which the Colonel explains the circumstances of the capitulation,
offers comfort and encouragement to his soldiers, and emphasizes loyalty to the King and a legacy of sacrifice.
