4to, two volumes. First edition of this important and influential work on every aspect of tree planting, growth and maintenance. The beautiful and large woodcut illustrations are partly printed from blocks made by Giorgio Liberale and Wolfgang Meyerpeck for the Mattioli herbarium two centuries earlier, which Duhamel had purchased for use in this work.
