Breve Istruzione per l’intelligenza della Fortificazione Moderna secondo il metodo Di M.re Di Vauban. c.1750, [Italy].
Folio, Illustrated manuscript on paper, in Italian, altogether 33 leaves (19 for the text, plus 14 original blank leaves), followed by 9 finely executed large fold-out linedrawn drawings of fortifications, main text with single column of 27 lines of italic hand, some small spots and repair to lower corner of frontispiece, else good and condition, main text 280 by 185 mm., the maps folding out one or two times this size; contemporary limp parchment binding rebacked with a nicely drawn and coloured coat-of-arms on separate piece of parchment, laid on front board, two ties.
