This painting was painted during the ”golden age” of the Safed Artists' Village, when leading Israeli painters (such as Yitzhak Frankel, Moshe Castel, Shimshon Holtzman and Mordechai Levanon) flocked to the city, focusing on documenting the mystical atmosphere, the stone houses in the Old City and the figures walking in the alleys. Condition: Good, small tear, size: 60*70 cm.
