Reverse of the coin: The inscription ”Peace be upon Israel” from a mosaic of the ancient synagogue in Jericho, a rosette and columns from the palace of Caliph Hashem (743-724) and the shaft of the round tower at Tel a-Saltan, the ancient site of Jericho from the Neolithic period. The palm trees illustrate Jericho's nickname ”City of Dates”. The word Jericho in Hebrew and English.
