Description:
Gold Medal And There Was Light, Yaakov Agam
'And There Was Light' medal designed by Yaakov Agam, the government company, made of 22K gold. Diameter: 38 mm.
Weight: 33.93 grams. Presented in the original case.
Obverse of the medal: In the center, a transparent material in which, opposite each focal point of light, a Star of David appears in full light and the verse "And There Was Light" (Genesis 1:3). Semicircular lines that characterize a menorah, in opposite directions, as an expression of the "world above and the world below", "branches and roots".
Reverse of the medal: a spiral, expressing infinity and the secret of reduction. The verse "And There Was Light" in English AND THERE WAS LIGHT, and the artist's signature Agam: gam gam.
Circumference: The state emblem and the words "State of Israel" in Hebrew and English, in 38 mm gold medals. 916.6 G.
