"The Menorah" - State Medal, 1994
A work by Dali. A seven-branched menorah and a circle of dancing figures. At the bottom, along the circumference, the artist's signature "Salvador Dali"
Dali's work "Hora Around the Menorah" from the "Alia" series adorns the back of the "Twelve Medals of the Tribes of Israel". The work appears as a relief.
Dali created the "Alia" series inspired by the establishment of the State of Israel and the renewal of its culture after two thousand years of exile.
"Hora Around the Menorah" depicts a typical image of the young and pioneering State of Israel. Dali placed the circle of dancers around the seven-branched menorah designed in his own unique style.
