Tosefta, Mishna, and Baraita in Their Relationship to One Another : Or, Palestinian and Babylonian Halakha - Second Vol .  This Vol. provides the highly technical, text-critical evidence to support Zuckermandel’s controversial thesis that our standard Mishna is a Babylonian revision of an original Palestinian text. In this volume, he moves from broad theory to detailed textual analysis, conducting side-by-side comparisons of specific tractates and passages to demonstrate how early rabbinic laws (Halakha) were modified, re-edited, or misunderstood as they migrated from the Land of Israel to Babylon. Additionally, this volume serves as an academic defense of his lifework, containing extensive polemical notes and appendices where Zuckermandel responds directly to contemporary critics of the Wissenschaft des Judentums movement who opposed his radical view of rabbinic editing.
