שלום בארון : גדול חוקרי תולדות עם ישראל במאה ה-20 - ביוגרפיה. מאת רוברט ליברלס. 1995. אנגלית. אוטוגרף חתום בעברית. - Salo Wittmayer Baron : Architect of Jewish history - By Robert Liberles. New York and London : New York University Press, 1995. xiii pp., 425 pp. Hardcover. Dustjacket, 21.5 cm. A biography of the well-known Jewish historian (1895-1989). Discusses his work and the reactions it aroused among scholars and in the Jewish community, in the context of Jewish historiography of the last two centuries. Stresses his opposition to the ”lachrymose conception of Jewish history.” Suggests that Baron did not deny the role of antisemitism, but asserted that the Jews were not passive victims. Signed autograph in Hebrew . Very Good-Excellent Condition.
