This booklet is a part of personal diary and letters which were written by Gerhard Cohn, and was published by his parents a year after his death. He was a member and guide of the ”Ha-Shomer ha-Tsa'ir” youth movement in Berlin. In early 1939, he was emigrated with his parents to Chile. Shortly after his arrival in Santiago, he and a handful of friends of same origin have established the ”Kidma” youth movement. A year later he died of a severe malignant disease, and he was only 19. Before the emigration he studied Hebrew by himself. The diary and the letters tell us about the beginning of ”kidma” mvement in Chile. He was the one who have started a glorious movement. Very Rare .  גרהארד כהן: היה בתחילת 1939 חבר ומדריך בתנועת ה”שומר הצעיר” בברלין. זמן קצר לאחר בואו לסנטיאגו בירת צ'ילה, יזם יחד עם קובץ חברים את הקמתה של תנועת הנוער ”קידמה” , מאוחר יותר השומר הצעיר. שנה לאחר מכן נפטר ממחלה ממארת.  הן היומן והן המכתבים מהווים למעשה את תעודת הלידה של תנועת הנוער הציונית ”קידמה” בצ'ילה.. החוברת תורגמה לעברית  בקיבוץ מעברות בחודש אוגוסט 2002. המקור שלפניכם וגם התרגום הם פרסומים נדירים ביותר.
