Complete Set of "Sfas Emes" on Torah. First Edition 1905-1908
The Admor Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh Leib Alter of Gur (1847-1905) was the third admor in the Gur dynasty and one of the outstanding leaders of Polish Jewry at the end of the 19th century. Under his leadership, Gur Chassidus became the main Chassidic group in Poland.
Sfas Emes is a collection of homilies on the weekly Torah portion and novellae on the Mishna. The book, published after his death, was very well received and had significant influence both within and beyond Chassidic circles.
