Hallachic Letter from Rabbi Yaakov Shalom Sofer, son of the Machne Chaim, to Maharam Schick – with Maharam Schick’s signature. Munkacs, 1878
The Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Shalom Sofer (1856-1921), one of the rabbis of Budapest, was the son of the well-known Gaon Rabbi Chaim Sofer, author of Machaneh Chaim (Av Beit Din of Ungvar and Budapest, a student of the Chatam Sofer). Author of Torat Chaim on the Shulchan Aruch, Orach Chaim, 5 volumes, and Yishvav Sofer on tractate Sanhedrin and responsa.
On the halachot of Pesach – 28x22 cm. A few wormholes in the margins. Good/very good condition. Munkacs, 1878.
