Letter from Rabbi Avraham Stern, author of Melitzei Aish of Neuhäusel - rescuing his son Rabbi Moshe Stern "Debrecen Rav", 1939
Letter of request for assistance in obtaining Aliyah certificates for the sons of Rabbi Moshe Stern (later the rabbi of Debrecen) and his brother,
Rabbi Avraham Stern (1884-1944) was the Av Beis Din in Neuhäusel. His published works include Melitzei Aish and Gapei Aish. He was a student of the Maharam Schick, author of Shevet Sofer and Arugot Habosem, and was the son-in-law of Rabbi Meir Tigerman (1852-1944). Rabbi Stern perished in Auschwitz. His three sons are the renowned Rabbi Bezalel Stern, author of B’Tzel Hachochmah, the Av Beis Din of Vienna and Lublin; Rabbi Mordechai Stern, author of Rav Chessed; and Rabbi Moshe Stern, the rabbi of Debrecen-USA and author of Be'er Moshe.
