Table Lamp with Antique Hand-Engraved Indo-Persian-Style Base, Late 19th/Early 20th Century - Base height: 17 cm Overall height including shade: 45 cm A table lamp assembled and converted during the 20th century using an antique, authentic vessel. The lamp base is crafted from a copper alloy (brass/bronze), with meticulous handwork featuring richly engraved and chiseled decoration comprising geometric patterns, lozenge grids and traditional floral motifs in the Mughal/Qajar style. The electrical cord passes through a purpose-made hole in the lower wall. The join between the body of the vessel and the flared base shows signs of old soldering. The solder at this join is currently broken, and the base components are partially detached/loose; tightening or resoldering is required. The lamp has been tested and is in working order. Sold with a matching cylindrical fabric shade with defects/tears.
