KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI JAPANESE WOODBLOCK MANGA PRINT
An antique original woodblock print in the Ukiyo e style by Katsushika Hokusai. The original engraving by Hokusai from his Manga, which he conceived in 1812, is a book spread. The woodblock depicts two characters from Japanese mythology, one of them holds a burning candle high above his head. Hokusais manga are albums of engraved drawings of various themes, which the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, 1760 to 1849, сompiled from decades of his life and called Manga. These drawings are believed to have been the forerunners of modern manga, drawn comics, or picture novels. Japanese Ukiyo E Woodblock Prints, Asian Artworks For Wall Decor.
