Sanyu, or Chang Yu, Chinese, 1901 to 1966, triptych of watercolor paintings depicting nude female portraits. All signed, matted together and framed. Sanyu is celebrated as one of the artistic prodigies of his generation. His works represent a visionary interpretation of Chinese art, fusing disparate elements and aesthetics: from ancient to modern, East to West, ink and oil, line and color.
