RUSSIAN PALEKH FEDOSKINO LACQUERED TRINKET BOXES
A pair of vintage Russian lacquered wooden trinket boxes. Black ground color, red interior. Elongated hexagonal box with hand-painted winter horse carriage on the hinged lid, signed Palekh, Troika, by Yu. Modorov. Round box with hand-painted woman in traditional dress embroidering on the cover, signed Fedoskino, 1989, MM. Palekh and Fedoskino are one of the largest centers of Russian lacquer art.
