HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE MEIJI CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE
A high quality antique Japanese, late Meiji period, enamel over brass bud vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a narrow fluted neck. The ware is enameled with polychrome images of blossoming flowers, fans, traditional compositions, lanterns, Yin Yang medallions, and geometrical ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The base of the ware is adorned with a geometrical ornament made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
