ANTIQUE 1880S VICTORIAN PERIOD PEARL NECKLACE
A late 19th century single strung pearl necklace with an Art Nouveau style clasp. The beaded necklace is a classic from the Victorian period in England, usually worn by a young lady before marriage as a symbol of her purity. The clasp has a richly detailed design with a finish most probably done in a 9kt Rose Gold wash. Some glass paste stones adorned the clasp adding sparkling to the otherwise simple and stoic piece of jewelry. Antique Victorian Natural Stones Fine Jewelry and Accessories For Collectors.
