An antique French 19th century Chromo Typogravure print Carnot at Wattignies after the painting by Georges Moreau de Tours. Signed in print lower left. Copyrighted and printed by George Barrie. Matted. Georges Moreau de Tours was a French history painter and illustrator. George Barrie, from 1893 to 1895 was the Philadelphia printer and publisher, and worked upon a large and lavish series of original etchings and chromolithographs detailing exhibits of the fine art from participating countries at the Worlds Columbian Exposition. Barrie hired some of the finest etchers of the time, the majority being either French or American, to work on the series. Antique French Graphic Art, Prints And Multiples For Collectors.
