Godefroy Engelmann (French, 1788-1839) color lithograph on paper, Marchand de Galeaux (Merchant of Galeaux). Signed in plate, lower right. Titled in French in plate, lower left. Titled in Russian in plate, lower right. Framed. The auction paper labels, on verso. G. Engelmann, French artist, lithographer, and chromolithographer; considered the inventor of chromolithography.
