A Damascene Brass and Silver Inlay Box, 19th c - A rectangular form with a hinged lid and a fronted by a decorative clasp. The lid and sides engraved and inlaid with silver scrolling foliage and arabesques against a dark ground, within brass and copper borders. The interior lined with wood and decorated with marquetry of exotic woods and mother-of-pearl in a traditional folk design.
