A Metal Thread-Embroidered Tunic and a Ceremonial Scarf, Ottoman Empire, Early 20th Century - Comprising: 1. A tunic densely hand-embroidered with silver threads in an organic pattern on a purple ground. Probably made in Jerusalem during the Ottoman period, circa 1900. Old repairs and wear consistent with age. Width: 134 cm; length: 143 cm. 2. An Ottoman ceremonial scarf decorated with white embroidery incorporating white metal. Early 20th century.
