High-quality inro with a rooster pecking scene, alongside a netsuke and ojime bead, 18th-19th century
The inro has four compartments, decorated with gold and red lacquer in the takamaki-e technique depicting a rooster bending near vegetation and fruit branches.
The interior and compartments are lined with nashjii lacquer. It is tied with a himo cord secured with an ojime bead and an early 18th-century wooden netsuke carved as a horse.
Inro dimensions: 8x6 cm.
Netsuke height: 5 cm.
