A carved wooden Netsuke depicting an actor in a Japanese Noh theater portraying a drunken Shojo dancer, she is seen raising her hand in a theatrical position while wearing a sumptuous kimono accompanied by engraved and chiseled patterns covering her entire body, a mask with an intense expression on her face and flowing hair meticulously engraved with graduated blackening decorations symbolizing Shoju being drunk, a familiar subject with technique and carving style characteristic of jugyoku, Tokyo area, signed at the foot jug(yoku?)
