(1916 - 2006) Japanese-American radio propagandist, stranded in Japan at the outbreak of World War II, enlisted by the Japanese and widely heard by American troops whom she urged to surrender so they could return home to their wives, lovers and families. Sentenced to ten years for treason, pardoned by Ford in 1977. A.N.S. 'Iva Toguri' within a trifold New Year's card bearing Japanese-inspired artwork, 13.5 x 7 in. (open), 1982, reading in part: '...You are so kind. You will never know what it means to have people in your own camp...'. Toguri signs at the conclusion. Identifying inscription in pencil added on the verso. Fine condition.
